Blood Beans

by

My badge of courage is almost healed. Explaining it to people required that I learn some new words. ‘Blister’ is mame (豆) in Japanese. Of course this also means bean, so you’d better make the context clear. ‘Blood blister’ is simply chimame (血豆) which is written with the kanji for blood and bean/blister. Don’t worry about context too much here, since I don’t think there is any such thing as a blood bean. Who would eat it after all?
