Beeping cars

Tambo RoadHi, this is Kat posting from Japan. I’ve never been to Japan before, but had always wanted to visit. I’ll write more after I’ve managed to gather my thoughts about all the amazing aspects of this trip, but for now, just some initial observations. New Road to StationWhenever Bikkuri backs up his teensy car, a “back up” alert sounds…INSIDE his car. As far as I can tell, the only purpose this serves is to send his passengers into uncontrollable fits of laughter. TunnelBikkuri’s kitchen looks like something that belongs in the village of Lilliput, as do the “roads”. Bikkuri’s car is about the size of a large mouse. The TWO-WAY roads barely accommodate his vehicle alone. High WayThat’s no exaggeration. When a vehicle is approaching from the opposite direction, one must pull off to the side to allow the other to continue on. This is on the main thoroughfares. It’s one of the goofiest things I’ve ever seen. Aside from that silliness, this is an incredibly beautiful and unique place. And everyone is so friendly (except, unfortunately, the animals; they just kind of ignore people).
