Food Top
So many times it seems like things between America and Japan are reversed. Well, you all have probably seen the Food Pyramid on your cereal boxes; in Japan we have the Food Top. It pretty much looks like a toy top - or an upside down pyramid.
Perhaps these are symbols of the Western philosophy of hard, strong foundations and things being fixed versus Eastern philosophy of things requiring balance and shifting. Or perhaps just two different triangular images picked by chance.
Hold the phone: looking for good pyramid and top images, I stumbled on “I am a Viking” blog and got a kick out of his “Japanese Food Pyramid“. If you keep up on things Japanese, and want a good laugh, take a look.
